An established and growing rail engineering company is seeking an organised and proactive Stores Coordinator to join its busy depot operation in Worksop.
Supporting multiple operational sites, you'll play a vital role in ensuring materials, consumables and PPE are managed efficiently, helping to keep critical rail engineering projects running safely and effectively.

Managing the goods-in process, ensuring all deliveries are accurately booked in and fully traceable
Maintaining accurate stock levels and implementing effective inventory control procedures
Ordering, issuing and controlling depot consumables and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Liaising with approved suppliers to monitor delivery schedules and resolve supply issues
Supporting procurement activities by helping secure efficient and cost-effective material supply
Assisting with the organisation and continuous improvement of depot stores layouts and stock locations
Recording goods receipts and stock movements using stock management software
Supporting wider depot operations with stock allocations and remote goods receipt processing when required
Managing client-owned and free-issue materials in line with company procedures
Working closely with operational, engineering and procurement teams to ensure materials are available when required
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, stock accuracy and stores processes
Ensuring all activities are completed in line with company Health & Safety policies and procurement procedures
Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, stock control or materials coordination role
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Good IT skills and confidence using stock management or purchasing systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy operational environment
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Understanding of stock control principles and inventory management
Awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including PPE and COSHH
Full UK Driving Licence
Current FLT licence or willingness to undertake training
